From their three fixtures in a week since last Wednesday, Brighouse Town could only secure one point.
They lost 3-0 at home to North Ferriby, then 3-0 at Ossett United on the Saturday, before a 0-0 draw on Bank Holiday at home to NPL newcomers Silsden.
The Humberside team were a strong outfit but Town did have their chances and didn’t take them.
At Ossett, Town were a goal down to bc a Luca Bolino strike after eight minutes and then after 13 minutes they lost striker Danny Edwards, sent off for an alleged high kick at an opponent.
Town then had a stonewall penalty claim waived away before then seeing a flag go up for an offside on Rhys Plater whose pace had deceived the home defence and the assistant referee and he was through on goal.

A second Bolino goal midway through the second half knocked the stuffing out of Town who saw the sides levelled up when Sam Pashley was sent off for an aggressive tackle after earlier receiving a yellow card, Joe Crosby converted a penalty for Ossett later in the game for the 3-0 scoreline.
In the Ossett game and again at home to bc Silsden, Town re-introduced goalkeeper Shea Callister who had been on loan last season from Hull City. He had replaced Michael Acquah who had played the previous two games with an ankle injury.
There was little excitement in the game and both Callister and visiting keeper Tommy Brown had little to worry them. Town now see suspended players Curtis Peters and Edwards sit out the next three games.
On Saturday, Town travel to Durham to take on Consett (3pm) and a coach will leave the Dusty Miller at 11.15am.
Manager Grant Black is hopeful of landing a Barnsley U23 player on loan to help cover for the suspensions and was also looking at a Hucknall player.
With a 17 day window from Monday’s game until the next home game with Heaton Stannington on September 13, some pitch maintenance has been taking place to help take care of the ravages of the long hot spring and summer months.
