Brighouse Town’s plans for next season are already underway with a new and extended kit deal with sponsors Quickslide Windows and Doors and also looking at pre-season friendlies with professional clubs.
The club is delighted to have secured a another two year deal with Bailiff Bridge-based company Quickslide Windows and Doors and also for management and their players tracksuits.
The partnership will continue on Saturday, July 1 when the booming company employing around 210, and Brighouse’s biggest employer, holds a family day at the Yorkshire Payments Stadium.
Co-chairman Chris Lister said he was delighted Quickslide were staying on board and forming the bedrock of the club’s sponsorship portfolio.
“We work very well alongside their marketing executive Sandra Berg and her board of directors and long may we continue to do so.” added Mr Lister.
He also revealed the club was in advanced talks with Luke Heffernan, managing director of Halifax-based L J Heffernan Utilities, about the continuation of their sponsorship for the away kit which they have covered for the past two years.
This year clubs in the Northern Premier League can also have sponsorship on their sleeves and Town officials, who are looking at newly designed strips, have immediately taken this news on board to act accordingly and bring in more revenue.
Management, players, committee and supporters all come together at 7pm on Saturday evening at the clubhouse when the annual Presentation Evening is held and Huddersfield Town PA announcer and Lightcliffe CC official Paul Ramsden will be the MC.
Town have also looked ahead in an ambitious way to July and the first week of August for pre-season friendlies. While already having home games booked in with AFC Emley and a Bradford City Select side, they have sent out invitations to FC Halifax Town, Mansfield Town, Doncaster Rovers, Oldham Athletic and Rochdale.
They are hoping to at least nail down a minimum of two and hope for more as those clubs prepare for their 2023-24 seasons.
Town are also holding another Funday on June 26, which in 2021 was a huge success and hope for another bumper day enjoyed by all attending.
This afternoon (Thursday) at 4pm, the Calderdale Schools U16s (Year 11) final will take place at the Yorkshire Payments Stadium. It is between Trinity Academy, Halifax and Lightcliffe Academy. Lightcliffe were runners-up at U-15 level last season and will be hoping to go one better this time around. Admission is £3 for adults and £2 for concessions with schoolchildren free. The clubhouse will be open for hot food and drinks and the bar will also be open.
Next week on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at 4pm there will be double-header finals in the other age groups.
The club’s vice-chairman and director of football Charlie Tolley has sent his personal and the club’s condolences to the chairman of the Old Brodlieans RUFC Andy Mears following the death last week of the club’s President and former chairman Richard `Bruce’ Turner.
“The club also sends its sincerest condolences at this sad time to Richard’s widow Susan and the immediate family,” said Mr Tolley.
“I attended the popular pre-match luncheons and other functions at the Brods and we also welcomed Richard down to our ground from our very good friends of the oval ball game up the nearby Denholmgate Road,” he added.
